But God never fails.
Apologies for the lack of updates. Between the lack of access to the internet and, in particular, photo posting problems here on blogspot, it has been frustrating to not be able to keep everyone posted. In something of a surprise, Facebook has been the best vehicle for communication on this trip.
We are back in Sao Paulo, but both of us are struggling with symptoms of food poisoning this morning.
We met last night with three possible local coordinators for a JEMS basketball tournament in July 2010. We have three important meetings scheduled for today, so please pray that Rev Rick and I will be restored in order to meet with these key leaders.
Thank you for your prayer and financial partnership with us. Our meetings have been very productive, and are laying the groundwork for continued future ministries.
If you have a Facebook account, please go there to see this mission trip in pictures.
God bless you!
Update midnight Tuesday
Three friends, Tadashi, Claudia and Noemi were very kind to bring over a care package for Rick and me on Tuesday.

It included water, Gatorade, coconut water, apples and crackers. Isn't that sweet?
They also took us to a Japanese restaurant where we could order ochazuke (rice, hot water, umeboshi and nori).
We returned and are trying to feel normal again. Rick seems better, but my stomach is still a little queasy. We will try to fulfill two important commitments tomorrow, but will not go to the city of Sorocaba (2 hours away) on the basis of Dr Claudia's medical advice.
